VII. Forensic Sciences Symposium of “Current Approaches to Clid Abuse & Neglect” organized by Gaziantep University Forensic Medicine Department in collaboration with Association of Forensic Medicine Specialists was performed between 24-27 May 2007 with an excellent organization. The symposium, together with the participation of internationally acclaimed guests, demonstrated the scientific level reached at our meetings. The scientific levels of such meetings excite the meeting organizers as well as increase our hope for the future despite all negativity in the field. Just after the knowledge-fest in Gaziantep, good news came about the 2008 VIII. Forensic Sciences Congress to be organized in collaboration with Kocaeli University Forensic Medicine Department and from Porto. “IV. Mediterranean Forensic Sciences Congress” will be held in Antalya in 2009, ATUD and MASF as co-organizers, thanks to our colleague’s efforts. We would like to thank in advance to the colleagues who will put their efforts for both organizations. These scientific activities serve as a basis for sharing experiences between colleagues and also contribute to article pool of the periodicals. Thus, we see a significant increase in the number of the articles sent to Journal of Forensic Medicine to be published. Your ever increasing support to our periodical makes our task as a knowledge bridge easier. With your support, we hope to reach our goals soon,

Sincerely yours.
