Cinsel İçerikli Mesajlaşmanın Öteki Yüzü: Bakış Açısı ve Mağduriyet Arasındaki İlişki

Amaç: Cinsel içerikli mesajlaşma, internet ve sosyal medyanın yaygın kullanımıyla mesaj, fotoğraf ve video gönderiminin hızlı ve kolay hale gelmesi sonucu ortaya çıkmış ve günümüzde sık karşılaşılan bir kavram haline gelmiştir. Çalışmada cinsel içerikli mesajlaşmanın araştırma örneklemi kapsamındaki yaygınlığını, cinsel içerikli mesajlaşmaya bakış açısını etkileyen faktörleri ve mağduriyet ile cinsel içerikli mesajlaşma arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek amaçlanmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: 18 yaş ve üzeri 565 katılımcı araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Cinsel içerikli mesajlaşmaya bakış açısı ve eylemde bulunma durumu Gerekçeli Eylem Kuramı referans alınarak saptanmıştır. Veriler araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan demografik bilgi formu ve cinsel içerikli mesajlaşma ölçeği ile toplanmıştır.
Bulgular: Katılımcıların %70.4’ü (398) kadın, %29.6’sı (167) ise erkeklerden oluşmaktadır. Yaş dağılımına göre katılımcıların %61.4’ü (347) 18-25, %38.6’sı (218) 26 ve üzeri yaş grubunda yer almaktadır ve yaş ortalaması 25.2’dir. Katılımcıların oldukça büyük bir çoğunluğunun cinsel içerikli mesajlaşma eyleminde bulunduğu, erkeklerin kadınlara kıyasla daha olumlu tutuma sahip olduğu ve daha sık eylemde bulunduğu, mağduriyet yaşamış olmanın cinsel içerikli mesajlaşmaya bakış açısı üzerinde anlamlı bir farklılık yaratmadığı belirlenmiştir. Öte yandan cinsel içerikli mesajlaşmadan dolayı mağduriyet yaşayan bireylerin oranı %22.5 olmakla beraber mağduriyet yaşayan bireylerin çoğunluğunun kadın olduğu saptanmıştır. Mağduriyet şekilleri incelendiğinde bireylerin en çok duygusal ve psikolojik problemler yaşadığı; fakat mağduriyetin tek bir şekille sınırlı kalmadığı belirlenmiştir.
Sonuç: Cinsel içerikli mesajlaşmanın yaygınlığı, bireylerin bakış açıları ve eylemde bulunmaya yönelik motivasyonları belirli ölçülerde tespit edilerek çok fazla göz önünde bulundurulmayan cinsel içerikli mesajlaşmanın Türkiye’deki konumu ve dikkate alınmaya değer olumsuzluklara da sebebiyet verebildiği ortaya konmuştur.
