    ABSTRACT

    The biggest risks of employees are occupational accidents and occupational diseases in their careers. Body failures that co-me into being jobs or accidents are reasons of looss of produc-tive work. These productive work loss is named as “disability”. Disability due to the job brings some problems for employer, employee and government. The most important problem is substitution of disability for employee, employer, even govern-ment with equity.

    The aim of this study is to determine the differences and de-ficiencies in the calculation of the degree of disability and to emphasize necessity of common standards to prevent injustices for employees due to these differences and deficiencies.

    In Turkey, conclusive computation time is too long due to va-rious laws and regulations. Standardization of social security sys-tem, update of disability computation charts, to increase of labor courts and their effectiveness, are the applications that bring jus-tice for occupational accidents and occupational diseases.
