Amaç: Mahrem yazışma ve görüntülerin cinsel tehdit amaçlı kullanılması günümüzde sosyal medya platformlarının kullanılmasının artmasıyla yaygınlaşmıştır. Çalışmamızda çevrimiçi cinsel şiddete uğrayan mağdurların retrospektif olarak incelenmesi, literatür eşliğinde tartışılması ve sosyal medya kullanımının potansiyel riskleri ile bu risklere karşı alınabilecek önlemlere dikkat çekilmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Yöntem: 01.01.2016-31.12.2020 tarihleri arasında Adli Tıp polikliniğine cinsel saldırı nedeniyle başvurup içlerinden çevrimiçi cinsel şiddete uğrayan mağdurların, ailelerinin ve şüpheli/saldırganların sosyodemografik özellikleri, kullanılan sosyal medya platformları ve çevrimiçi şiddet türleri incelendi.
Bulgular: Çalışmaya 35 olgu dahil edilmiş olup 32’si kadın, 3’ü erkek, yaş ortalamaları 15,94±2,98, yaş aralığının 11-26 olduğu, çevrimiçi şiddet türüne bakıldığında 19’unun çıplak fotoğraf/video paylaşma, 16’sının cinsel içerikli konuşma olduğu, 14’ünün Whatsapp, 7’sinin Facebook, 6’sının Instagram, 1’inin Twitter, 1’inin Snapchat üzerinden gerçekleştiği, 10 mağdurun ise sosyal medya platformları üzerinden çıplak fotoğraf/ video paylaşma tehdidine maruz kaldığı tespit edildi.
Sonuç: Çevrimiçi cinsel içerikli konuşma ve cinsel içerikli fotoğraf/video paylaşma sosyal medya kullanımının artmasıyla yeni bir şiddet türü olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Özellikle çocuk ve adölesan yaş grubundaki bireylere ve ebeveynlere güvenli internet ve sosyal medya kullanımı ile ilgili eğitim programları düzenlenmesi, çevrimiçi risk faktörleri ve alınacak önlemlerle ilgili toplumun bilinçlendirilmesi gerekmektedir.
